Articles accepted for publication in Mammalogy Notes are published in Early View prior to publication in a final issue. Early View articles have undergone full peer review, are edited, compiled, and approved by authors and editors. However, they have not gone through the final editing, typesetting, pagination, and proofreading process, so minor differences may occur between this version and the final version published in the next issue. Early View articles should be cited using the article's Digital Object Identifier (DOI), as this will always resolve to the latest version. This Early View article corresponds to Volume 11 Number 2 of 2025.
